Great site! I am always looking for new websites for us celiacs! I actually find that fast food places are better because I can watch them make the food. In sit-down restaurants I can't see them making the food and that makes me nervous and often cross-contaminated.

I have eaten at Wendy's successfully--their chili is great. I also like Chipotle and Jimmy John's with their lettuce wraps if they are close to you. I have also broken down and eaten McDonalds' fries--they are safe, but no less in calories!

I think it is a bigger problem in fast food places that sit down restaurants. The area is a lo smaller and people are moving around quicker which might make people less aware of what has touched what. Also the level of education of fast food workers is lower than chefs in a restaurant. Chefs are much more aware of food allergies and the precautions that need to be taken. Thanks for the question!

This is a great tool! Thanks for putting this up. I am wondering you mentioned that many foods may not contain gluten in restaurants but they are contaminated by using the same cooking and preparation areas. Do you see this being a problem in fast food places?
